Some larger dogs to consider are, Doberman Pinscher, German Shepherd, and the Golden Retriever.

Another thing to consider when choosing a dog breed is if you have children. The Toy dog group may be too small for your children. They can be very fragile and skittish around kids. And larger dogs usually don't know there own size and can be overly  excited and accidentally knock your children over. A medium size dog like the Cocker Spaniel, or Collie might be the best fit.
